Parent Council – Next Meetings

St Mary’s Gets 2nd Green Flag!!

On Friday the 5th of November the Eco Schools Inspectors came to St. Mary’s to see if we were worthy of a second Green Flag. First they checked around our playground for litter and general tidiness.  They then came into the school and visited our classrooms.

GLOW – A Right Blether!

The P6/7’s did ‘A Right Blether’ Glow meet on Friday the 29th October with other Scottish schools and Tam Bailey. Tam talked about how to make Scotland better for children, and how he was trying to change things in Scotland to make this happen.

The Scottish Learning Festival

The Scottish Learning Festival was at the SECC in Glasgow on the 22nd of September. Four pupils from St Mary’s went along to showcase our project with the Dunblane Museum, “The Art of Collecting”.

We took the train through to Glasgow Queen Street then took a taxi to the SECC.  We walked around for about an hour

Zumba!

For our Active Afternoon on a Friday the whole school has been doing Zumba since the start of term. We have been doing it in the hall with the Zumba instructor, Diana, and she shows us what to do. Fund Raising Fun!

On the 18th of September we had our school Celidh. It was really fun all of us joined in with the dances. The P.S.A were selling glow sticks. There was about 10 different dances but we did some twice. We all had great fun and raised some money for the school.

PSA News!

This year the Primary 6/7s have been making things to sell at the school’s Yule Fest, which is on the 4th of December at the church hall.

They are making hearts stuffed with lavender, felt flowers and fish, metal sheet decorations and chandelier decorations…all for the Christmas tree! They have also made reusable bags which they decorated themselves using …
