Olympic Dreams

Dress Up, Dress Down!

On Friday the 19th November we had a ‘Dress Up, Dress Down’ event for Children In Need. You had to dress up your bear in spotty clothes, but you had to dress down yourself into your casual clothes. We raised £189.50 which is a huge achievement for us as we only have 84 pupils and 16 in the nursery. You …

A Right Blether!

Have you ever voted below the age of eighteen? Well…we have! On the 16th November P6/7 did our first ever national vote, and here’s the surprise…over eighteens? Nope – not allowed!

It was arranged by the Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People, Tam Baillie, because he really wants to improve the lives of children in Scotland.

Christmas Carols at Randolph Hill

On Friday the 17th of December P6/7 went to Randolph Hill to sing Christmas carols. The reason we went was so that we could lift some Christmas spirits and spread some festive joy.

Dining Room Charter

Kier have made a dinner hall charter that reminds all the pupils how to behave and all the rights and responsibilities of the dinner hall. At assembly all the House Captains and Pupil Council members got their badges, and Kier launched the dining room charter. This has all the rights of the pupils on it, but with the rights there is a responsibility. We have all been following it up to now, and all of the House Captains and Pupil Council love their badges.

European Week for Waste Reduction

In November 2010, as part of European Week for Waste Reduction the eco committee weighed the waste that the pupils of the school had produced eating their lunch.
