P1 have been learning about Scotland and where it is. They did some tartan pictures that are outside their classroom. They are also reading Katie Morag stories. They were also looking at where Scotland is and what you can find in it. They are also going to start learning how to sing in Gaelic and they learned what you call a lake in Scotland.

Remember remember the 5th of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot
I can’t think of a reason that gunpowder and treason
Should ever be forgot
Fireworks night is great fun and primary 1 have been getting into the spirit of things by creating these wonderful fireworks pictures.
Although fireworks night can be great fun we have to remember that it is all about Guy Fawkes how tried to blow-up the house of parliament. He got caught filling up the cellars with gunpowder.
We mustn’t forget our safety. Here are some great reasons thought up by our brainy primary 1s;
Never play with fireworks
Ask an adult to light your sparkler
Never put a sparkler near your face…and
…HAVE FUN and KEEP SAFE!!
