For the past five weeks the primary 2/3s have been learning about the differences between France and Scotland. One of the areas that they focused on during their topic was food. They learnt about traditional foods in both countries. They got to try some croissant as they are a traditional food in France. And for Scotland they tried shortbread made by Eve
Art work was another of their interests. They looked at French reflection paintings. They all had ago of painting some themselves and then displayed some of them of the classroom walls. For Scottish art work they learnt about Macintosh, who painted patterns.
They also focused on famous landmarks and places of both countries. Some of these included the Eiffel tower, Paris, Stirling castle, and the Wallace Monument. They learnt about why the different landmarks and places were famous.
On the 21st June the P2/3 went through to primary 6/7 to listen to their French projects that they had been working on for the past few weeks. The projects where in French and the pupils had to say every thing in French. Sophie Wood said she thought that the projects were great and she could sort of understand what they were saying.
