I too was a pupil at the school from around 1960 to 1965. Jean Paterson and Miss Barker were the teachers then also. I remember the school, and of course the teachers with great fondness.

After St Mary's I attended the McLaren High School and then studied Theoretical Physics at St. Andrews. All of this a tribute to the quality of free, state education.

Glad to see the school is thriving. I attended from 1955-1960 when Jean Patterson was head teacher (the junior teacher was Miss Barker). I am grateful to both

Congratulations to all the pupils, staff, parents helpers and the museum experts who have made your St Mary's Museum a truly awesome museum. I only wish I'd had more time to spend looking at the wonderful artefacts, paintings, literature and models that you have created for this event. It was so wonderful to see that your talents are being used and developed in many ways, and that your learning is inspiring. A very big Well Done!
