During the term we have been focusing on lots of Scottish things for our topic; Primary 1/2s did a Gruffalo performance in Scots and the Primary 7s looked at scots poems. The whole school also held a poetry recital competition. So much Scots learning had taken place in school and we wanted to share it with all the parents. The event started with the Primary 7s singing ‘The White Cockade’. The Primary 1 and 2s had the opportunity to share their Gruffalo performance in Scots and Primary 3, 4, 5, 6 all sang songs. The primary 3s and 4s performed a song from the film ‘Brave’. They brought their own instruments in and they all played and sang along. The Primary 5s and 6s re-wrote songs and they changed the lyrics to fit in with their Lochs and Water Cycle topic. All the Poetry recital winners also performed. Everyone one had a great time at the Sharing Event and hopefully we can do something similar in the future.
