StikBot Success!

On Monday 1st February, the Toy Hub in Dunblane launched a competition. To enter you had to use a StikBot or two and create a stop motion animation. The competition was open to all of the Dunblane community and schools in Stirling. The whole of St Marys took part in this competition and made their animations in groups or independently.

On the 13th May, Jez from the Toy Hub came to give the prizes to the people who won. The creator of the StikBots judged the competition entries and we had a 1st place and a 2nd place winner! Our 1st place winner was Jonathan in P6. He won a new StikBot set that won’t even be released in the UK until next week, so he is the first person in the UK to own one! The 2nd prize was given to the group who made the ‘Hot Air Balloon’ animation. This was Heidi, Rebecca and Martha from P7. Their prize was a goodie bag containing lots of Lego posters and sets. They also won a StikBot set but they donated it to P7 for everyone to use.

Everyone had so much fun creating their animations and would like to say thank you to the Toy Hub for running a great competition. Congratulations to the winners! Amazing animations!
