PSA Update

BBQ
Firstly, thank you to all who attended the bbq. Despite the rain and marauding midges fun was still to be had and we raised approx £380.
Sponsored Outdoor Challenge
As we thought, sponsorship money continued to come in for some time after the event, so the final amount raised was £590.33
Good News!
The PSA AGM is scheduled for 7pm, Tuesday 3rd September, in conjunction with the Parent Council AGM, (at which our final accounts will be presented) but as we have no further fundraisers planned before then, we thought you’d like to know that this year, we have raised a fantastic £2892.37!
This would not have been possible without support and the PSA would like to thank all of you who have bought tickets, sponsored children and attended events. We’d also like to say a huge………
“Thank You!”
to everyone who has volunteered their help : staff, parents, older siblings etc. The events wouldn’t have happened without you.

Super Sponsored School Cycle!

On the 12th May the sponsored cycle was held at Loch Katrine. With a start at 11o’clock twelve brave kids and four regretting parents lined up at the starting line. The weather was very bad with rain pelting on the competitors’ faces and the wind against them. There was a severe weather warning out about floods, so the parents stopped anyone doing more than twelve miles. Most people did twelve miles up and down the hills and through the rain. There was no chance of a picnic at any of the mile markers, it was a bit of chocolate and back to the car park. Lizzie said “even though it was really bad weather, I still enjoyed it and had fun with my friends”. At the end we normally get a free ice cream but this time because of the weather we got a free hot chocolate instead, though some people still had an ice cream. Normally people hang about talking and playing with there friends but this time it was a quick goodbye and everyone was gone in half an hour. Overall we think everyone enjoyed it.

The Yule Fest!

On Saturday 3rd of December St.Marys EPS held a very exciting Yule Fest. Many people attended this wonderful event and raised over £1600!There was so many stalls to choose from; Fair-trade stall, plant stall, Indian stall, baking stall, book stall, smoothie stall, decorate a biscuit stall, a tombola, enterprise club stall and many more. There was even a little room to get and drink and a sweet mince pie. For the little ones, Mrs. Paterson was kind enough to contact Mr and Mrs Claus! They even brought a couple of very silly elves to guide everyone through the Christmas like room and meet Santa. To make this event even more Christmassy, some of the p6/7s song some popular Christmas carols and got everyone in a very happy mood. Overall, this Yule Fest was a big hit and everyone enjoyed the marvellous experience. Thank you to all of the people who attended and led this event. We really appreciate it! We are all looking forward to next year!
