Nursery Newsletter October 2012

Welcome to the first edition of 2012-2013 session’s nursery newsletter.

For those of you who are new to the nursery this newsletter is a way for the nursery parents to share news and information regarding nursery but also for arranging to keep in touch with playdates outside of nursery term time.

It would be great if we could get some fresh input to the newsletter which goes out once each term. This (honestly!) is not a task which takes much time but is a nice opportunity to sit down with a few other parents/carers and have a natter about what we might put into the newsletter to make it interesting for all. Getting the views of people new to the nursery and St Marys would be great too as there are probably lots of things you might find useful to be included in the newsletter that us ‘older hands’ might not consider. It also gives me (the current lone parent bashing this together) a chance to bounce ideas off as I’m a bit nervous of just proposing new stuff without any other parents input!

October Holiday Play Dates

Well! What can we all say about the Summer holiday play dates…? There were, it has to be said, several valiant efforts by a few brave souls to venture forth into the wind and driving rain but generally the summer break was not as successful as the Easter holidays for managing to hook up for play dates. We can but hope that the October break will deliver us better weather and more opportunity to let the children hook up to play together while nursery is closed. So with a cheery spirit of dogged perseverance here are another couple of playdates to stick on your fridges!
